**How to Look Up an Individual Case in Probate Data**

1. **Start a New Search**

* Log in to your account and click on **New Search**.
* Select the state (e.g., California) and click **Continue**.
* If you know the filing date range, input it; otherwise, choose the current year or go back about a year to start.
2. **Enter the Case Number**

* On the search results page, click **Modify Filters** on the right-hand side.
* Expand the **Case Information** section to locate the **Case ID** field.
* Paste or type the case number (same as the Case ID) into the field.
3. **Search for the Case**

* Click **Search** to display the case details.
* The specific case matching the entered number will appear in the results.

**Summary:** Use the case number (or Case ID) to quickly find individual case details by entering it under the **Modify Filters** section during a new search. This allows precise targeting of records when you know the courthouse-assigned case number.
