How to Look Up an Individual Case in Probate Data
- Start a New Search
- Log in to your account and click on New Search.
- Select the state (e.g., California) and click Continue.
- If you know the filing date range, input it; otherwise, choose the current year or go back about a year to start.
- Enter the Case Number
- On the search results page, click Modify Filters on the right-hand side.
- Expand the Case Information section to locate the Case ID field.
- Paste or type the case number (same as the Case ID) into the field.
- Search for the Case
- Click Search to display the case details.
- The specific case matching the entered number will appear in the results.
Summary: Use the case number (or Case ID) to quickly find individual case details by entering it under the Modify Filters section during a new search. This allows precise targeting of records when you know the courthouse-assigned case number.
