How to Look Up an Individual Case in Probate Data


  1. Start a New Search


  • Log in to your account and click on New Search.
  • Select the state (e.g., California) and click Continue.
  • If you know the filing date range, input it; otherwise, choose the current year or go back about a year to start.
  1. Enter the Case Number


  • On the search results page, click Modify Filters on the right-hand side.
  • Expand the Case Information section to locate the Case ID field.
  • Paste or type the case number (same as the Case ID) into the field.
  1. Search for the Case


  • Click Search to display the case details.
  • The specific case matching the entered number will appear in the results.


Summary: Use the case number (or Case ID) to quickly find individual case details by entering it under the Modify Filters section during a new search. This allows precise targeting of records when you know the courthouse-assigned case number.
